Don't get me wrong. I definitely fall into the girly girl category and wave my glittery pink girl flag proudly. But at the same time, I understand that not everyone feels as strongly about pink as I do, and that there are people out there that find the dainty image that this hue often calls to mind off-putting. Today, I'd like to stand up for the versatility of pink hair, showing that it can be adapted to suit anyone's personal style.

For those of you out there who don't want to fully commit to a full dye job, you can always opt for an ombre. As you can see below, the ombre can be as subtle..

or not-so-subtle as you like.

Once you decide to take the plunge and emerge with fully pink locks, there are tons of ways to style it. You can go for a softer look:

or channel your inner gamine with a dramatic colorblocked cut

Pink hair is also stunning when it's arranged in a long, edgy braid...

or a pulled back in a vintage-inspired ponytail.

Of course, you shouldn't feel limited to one shade of pink. You can incorporate subtle variations to your mane like this pastel masterpiece...
or even bring in some more vibrant orangey hues to your style.
This edgy ombre brings both brights and pastels together like a dream. The hints of blue and purple make the pink stand out even more.
You can also vary your dye job by making the top of your hair more vibrant while leaving the underside darker...
or you can just split your head down the middle with two completely different colors.
It's hard to tell where the pink ends and the orange-red begins, but this bold look is definitely eye-catching.
So, if you feel like going shocking pink, don't hide! Go for it, and be sure to share your photos with us and the rest of the Hair Addicts out there. Are you thinking pink?
