This hair transformation story comes from the Tony & Guy Academy in Costa Mesa, California where hairstylists Ariana and Natasha gave YouTuber Charisma Star of "Charisma Star TV" an epic multicolored violet makeover. In the video below, they walk us through the process of achieving this lustrous look.

They begin by pre-lightening her hair using TIGI Copyright Color True Light and 20 volume activator. They apply the mixture to all of her hair except the roots, then once the hair has lightened to 1 level below the desired shade they add it to the roots. Next they shampoo, condition, and dry her newly lightened hair.

Now comes the fun part: adding the color! Beginning at the nape of her neck, they divide her hair in sections using zigzags and clips to keep the sections together. For the base color they use Pravana Vivids Purple and Pravana Vivids Wild Orchid as an accent. They repeat the process of zigzagging the hair in various sized sections and applying color.

The dye is then processed for about 30 minutes before her hair is shampooed, conditioned, and styled. They recommend using cold water to prevent the dyes from bleeding together. Watch the video to see how the final look turns out, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
